What an unforgettable experience for these students!
The trip began in Baltimore with a behind-the-scenes tour of Center Stage playhouse, followed by an exciting evening at Medieval Times, where they cheered on the Green Knight.
In Washington, DC, students participated in a workshop with musicians from The Capital Wind Symphony, gaining valuable insight from professional performers. Their time in the capital also included touring iconic monuments, taking in the beauty of the Cherry Blossom Festival, and a meaningful visit to the 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon.
Beyond the performances and sightseeing, students enjoyed time together swimming, relaxing by the fire pit, and making lasting memories with friends.
The experience continued with a visit to the Hazy Center Air & Space Museum at Dulles Airport, and wrapped up with some fun and friendly competition at Topgolf before heading home.
A well-rounded trip filled with music, learning, and fun- truly one to remember!

After researching options, Dumitra is developing a plan to help bring this idea to life and create a more comfortable space for students.
We love when students take initiative, use their voice, and turn ideas into action. Great work, Dumitra! 💙

We hope everyone has a chance to relax and recharge! We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, April 13.

Our elementary students amazed us with their curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills as they explored "things that go" at our Elementary Science Fair.
From thoughtful hypotheses to hands-on experiments, each project reflected the hard work and enthusiasm our students bring to learning every day. We are so proud of their confidence in presenting their ideas and explaining their discoveries!
A big thank you to our teachers, families, and volunteers for supporting our budding scientists along the way. 💙

Students had the opportunity to explore a variety of healthcare careers through hands-on demonstrations and engaging speakers. It was an exciting and informative experience that helped bring their future goals into focus!

Students from our Bilingual and Spanish Clubs took the stage to model and teach common Spanish phrases, giving the audience a chance to learn and participate. We were also treated to music and dancing from our MS/HS Salsa Band, led by Mr. Rood, which added energy and excitement to the celebration!
In addition, we recognized our Students of the Month and presented the GO BLUE Class Spirit Award.
It was a meaningful event that truly highlighted the power of cooperation, leadership, and student voice in our school community!

During the visit, students heard presentations from MCC faculty and current students, participated in hands-on demonstrations, toured the campus, and even had the opportunity to work with electrical currents!
It was a great experience that gave our students insight into exciting career pathways and future learning opportunities!

So it was the perfect opportunity for our elementary students to dive into the science of maple syrup production! In the classroom, students stepped into the role of real maple producers- pretending to tap trees using toy drills and hammers, just like it’s done in nature.
They also got creative by designing their very own maple syrup bottles, showcasing both their artistic skills and creativity.
To top it off, students explored the science behind syrup production by practicing how to use filters and hydrometers to measure sugar content- just like the pros!
