We're thrilled to announce that two outstanding members of the GCS family have been recognized at the Rochester Area Transportation Supervisors Association's Employee Brunch!
First up, our very own Board of Education Vice President Dave Dwyer! Dave was honored for his dedicated service as a Transportation Supervisor, alongside his continued support to our school community and the association. In fact, the ceremony was even named in his honor, and will now be known as the "David Dwyer Employee Appreciation Brunch!" Dave, we want to thank you for your support to our district and we know this award is a testament to your remarkable contributions!
We also want to give a huge shoutout to Roxanne Loomis, one of our incredible bus drivers, who clinched the title of Professional Transportation Employee of the Year for our District! Roxanne, your dedication and hard work behind the wheel do not go unnoticed. Thank you for going above and beyond every day!
Join us in congratulating Dave and Roxanne for their well-deserved recognition!

Our UPK students had an exciting day touring "the big school" as they get ready for Kindergarten!
Those students rode the bus to GCS where they got to see the auditorium, sang along with our 2nd grade students in the music room, and got to play in the kindergarten classrooms and on the playground!
UPK students were even greeted with signs from "the big kids" welcoming them to the school!
The kids are very excited to be going to Kindergarten soon!

Band members then got the chance to visit the Greater Cleveland Aquarium and feed stingrays before taking a tour of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
On their way home, our band stopped by SUNY Fredonia where they were given a tour of the music halls and got to spend some time learning more about their instruments with the college professors. The entire trip finished off with a side by side performance with college students of 5 pieces of music on the main stage in King Concert Hall.

Today was truly special as we had the honor of hosting former NFL player Keith Davis for an inspiring discussion on P.U.S.H. (Persevere Until Success Happens) with our students!
