Today was truly special as we had the honor of hosting former NFL player Keith Davis for an inspiring discussion on P.U.S.H. (Persevere Until Success Happens) with our students! Plus, three lucky students got to wear some of Davis' championship rings and one of his jerseys! Thank you, Keith, for sharing your wisdom and motivating our students!

REMINDER: Spring Break Starts This Week! Our Spring Break kicks off on Friday, March 29th, and lasts through Monday, April 8th. Just a friendly reminder: There will be NO school on the 29th or the 8th. Classes will resume bright and early on April 9th.

TONIGHT: Come join us for an important discussion about understanding your child's mental health. We'll be talking about how to recognize any signs that your child might be facing challenges. Our Parent Night event is happening on tonight from 5:30-7:00 PM in the Elementary Media Center. We'll discuss warning signs and symptoms to look out for, and we'll also go over the resources available both at school and in the community. If you can't make it to this session, don't worry! We're hosting another one on Wednesday, March 27th, at the Avon Middle School Library. Your participation can really make a difference!

🏀🎉 A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for The Hardwood Classic Basketball Game! 🎉🏀 It was an incredible display of unity and support as our staff took on the community in an epic showdown on the court. Your participation truly showcased the strong bond between our community and school district!

🚀 Exciting news! 🎉 We're thrilled to kick off the grand opening of our new STEAM Labs with a bang at our STEAM Fair Community Night! Dive into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics- and explore their endless possibilities through our students' creations! Our STEAM Fair Community night will be held on Monday, March 18 from 5-7pm!

REMINDER: Tomorrow, March 15, we will be holding a Superintendent's Conference Day so there will be no school for students. We hope you enjoy your extra day off!

This week, as we celebrate School Social Work Week, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Hathaway, our incredible District Social Worker! Her unwavering dedication and support for our students make a world of difference every single day!

Over the weekend, the Genesee Valley School Music Association held its final weekend of All-County music festivals and we are proud to announce that 16 of our students were chosen to participate! Eight of our 5th and 6th graders took part in the Elementary All-County Chorus, while eight of our senior high band students performed with the Senior High All-County Band! A fun tradition was also held- with the "Vintage Profs" (a teacher band) opening the show for the final festival. Great job everyone!

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We're thrilled to announce that Anthony Kuehne (1st Grade) and Herier Colon Castro (Kindergarten) have been nominated to be our Junior Officers of the Month for March! Here's what Officer Hopper had to say about Anthony and Herier: "The Junior Officer Award for this month proudly goes to Anthony and Herier. Throughout the school year, both Anthony and Herier have demonstrated remarkable progress. It's my privilege to share lunch time with Anthony and Herier every week, where their kindness, respect, and creativity shine brightly. Keep up the outstanding work!"

🌳🍁 Exciting News from First Grade! 🍁🌳 Since 2018, our first graders have been involved in an amazing hands-on experience tapping the maple tree right on our playground- and the tradition has continued for the 2024 season! Every day our students visit the tree to collect the sap! Great job first graders!
