In our continuous efforts to enhance transparency and communication with our community, our Board of Education has announced that they will be streaming board meetings via Zoom!
Our next board meeting is scheduled for March 25th, so stay tuned as we'll be releasing the Zoom link prior to the meeting.

We're thrilled to kick off the grand opening of our new STEAM Labs with a bang at our STEAM Fair Community Night!
Dive into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics- and explore their endless possibilities through our students' creations!
Our STEAM Fair Community night will be held on Monday, March 18 from 5-7pm!

REMINDER: Tomorrow, March 15, we will be holding a Superintendent's Conference Day so there will be no school for students.
We hope you enjoy your extra day off!

This week, as we celebrate School Social Work Week, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Hathaway, our incredible District Social Worker! Her unwavering dedication and support for our students make a world of difference every single day!

Over the weekend, the Genesee Valley School Music Association held its final weekend of All-County music festivals and we are proud to announce that 16 of our students were chosen to participate!
Eight of our 5th and 6th graders took part in the Elementary All-County Chorus, while eight of our senior high band students performed with the Senior High All-County Band!
A fun tradition was also held- with the "Vintage Profs" (a teacher band) opening the show for the final festival.

We're thrilled to announce that Anthony Kuehne (1st Grade) and Herier Colon Castro (Kindergarten) have been nominated to be our Junior Officers of the Month for March!

🌳🍁 Exciting News from First Grade! 🍁🌳
Since 2018, our first graders have been involved in an amazing hands-on experience tapping the maple tree right on our playground- and the tradition has continued for the 2024 season! Every day our students visit the tree to collect the sap!

Congratulations to February’s Junior Officer of the Month Kinsley Tozier, who is in Kindergarten!
School Resource Officer Hopper had this to say about Kinsley:

🎶🌟 Tonight marked the beginning of something truly special as our third-grade orchestra and fourth-grade band took the stage for their very first concert! 🎻🎺
The enthusiasm and passion these young musicians displayed were nothing short of inspiring.

We're thrilled to share the success of our talented students who participated in the All-County Music Festivals this past weekend!
🎻 Four of our incredible orchestra students in grades 5-6 showcased their skills at the FLMEA Elementary All-County Orchestra.
🎶 Six chorus students in grades 10-12 wowed the audience at the GVSMA Senior High All-County Chorus concert; including our very own Poppy Thomas who was selected to perform a solo!
🎺 Six band students in grades 7-9 rocked the stage as part of the GVSMA Junior High All-County Band.
Congratulations to all our musicians for their hard work and dedication!



Due to a water main break at the school, Geneseo Central School will be dismissing all students today (1/24/24) at 10:30am. All students will be bussed to their home address unless an alternate emergency location has been specified. We apologize for the inconvenience and please reach out to the building offices if needed. All MSHS Midterms and Regents exams are cancelled for today (1/24/24).
On Monday, our seniors spent some time meeting and playing games with our kindergarteners!

It was twin day for our 12 days of holiday cheer and our elementary teachers were definitely in the spirit!

The annual 'Shop with a Cop' event was a success! Thank you to SRO Hopper and the Geneseo Police Department for buying gifts and uplifting our community in times of need.
