🏀 Teacher Appreciation Night Recap 🏀
Last week, the Girls Varsity Basketball Team had the honor of hosting Teacher Appreciation Night!
Each player took the time to write and deliver a heartfelt speech about a teacher who has made a lasting impact on their time at Geneseo. It was truly inspiring to witness the thought, care, and gratitude the girls poured into their words.
Thank you to our amazing teachers for shaping the lives of our students and to the team for reminding us how much of a difference educators make every single day.

✨ Geneseo Students Shine at ICE! ✨
Geneseo students had an incredible showing at the Interscholastic Competition in English (ICE), which tests skills in literary interpretation, creative writing, and dramatic presentation.
Our drama team earned 2nd, 3rd, and 6th place in the dramatic presentation category, while students also excelled in other areas, placing 4th and 5th in literary analysis and 4th in creative writing!

Please join us in congratulating Courtney Hathaway on her well-deserved nomination for Social Worker of the Year! 🌟 Courtney is one of just seven outstanding individuals recognized in the GVBOCES region for their dedication and excellence.
Her unwavering commitment to students and families, coupled with her passion for fostering student and school success, are just a few of the many reasons we are so fortunate to have her on our GCSD team.
Please help us in congratulating her on this special recognition!

🎉 NEW SCHOOL RECORD ALERT! 🎉
The quartet of Brooke, Ella, Anna, and Catherine shattered a 25-year-old school record in the 400 Free Relay with an incredible time of 4:02.24!
This record-breaking performance came far earlier than expected, as the team set this goal for the end of the season. Achieving it now means they’ll have even more time to push the limits and make history once again!
Along with this record-breaking moment, Geneseo also showcased their depth and versatility, winning 9 out of 12 events and sweeping all three relays.

💖✨ Spreading Positivity with Art & Kindness ✨💖
Geneseo High School senior, Anna, recently teamed up with 6th-grade art students for a heartwarming project benefiting the Geneseo Food Pantry. Together, they decorated snack bags with inspiring messages and uplifting quotes, aiming to bring a little joy to those in need.🌟
This beautiful act of creativity and kindness shows just how small gestures can make a big impact!

🇺🇸 Today, GCS continued our beloved tradition of honoring local veterans with a heartfelt Veterans Day ceremony. Our students had the special opportunity to meet veterans, sing patriotic songs, attend a flag-raising ceremony, and hear powerful stories of service. Later, middle and high school students spent time with the veterans, asking questions and gaining insights about their experiences. We're so grateful to our veterans for their service and for spending this meaningful day with us!

Our National Junior Honor Society is currently running a food drive for the Geneseo/Groveland Food Pantry. We are accepting non-perishable foods and also personal hygiene products. The food drive runs until December 12th and there are collection boxes in the foyer at the main entrance. All donations are greatly appreciated.
