The Geneseo Central School District would like to thank all of our community members who
participated in this year’s Budget Vote and Board of Education Election. Your continued support
plays an important role in the success of our schools and students.
We are pleased to announce that voters approved the District’s proposed 2026-2027 school
budget. The final vote totals were:
● YES: 398
● NO: 109
The approved budget of $28,628,710 will support educational programs, student services,
staffing, transportation, and daily operations for the upcoming school year.
Voters also approved Proposition 2, which authorizes the District to purchase school buses for
student transportation needs.The purchase of school buses for District use is not to exceed
$495,000. The final vote totals for Proposition 2 were:
● YES: 401
● NO: 105
In addition, the District would like to congratulate the following individuals who were elected to
the Board of Education for three-year terms:
● Matthew Mallaber: 391 votes
● Bobbie Steinhauer: 377 votes
● Roberta Irwin: 327 votes
We thank these community members for their willingness to serve and support the students,
staff, and families of our District.
