AP Honor Roll

We are incredibly proud to share that Geneseo Central School Districts has earned silver recognition on the College Boards AP Honor Roll, an honor that recognizes schools for expanding access to Advanced Placement courses while supporting students to achieve strong outcomes.

The AP School Honor Roll measures schools across three key categories: College Culture, College Credit, and College Optimization. To qualify for Silver recognition, schools must meet or exceed College Board benchmarks in all three categories.

For the 2025 Honor Roll, GCS demonstrated meaningful progress toward college readiness:

  • 52% of graduating students took at least one AP exam during high school, earning the school silver status in College Culture.

  • 43% of students earned a score of 3 or higher on an AP exam, qualifying them for potential college placement and earning the school gold status for College Credit, well above the silver status benchmark

  • 8% of graduating students completed five or more AP exams during high school, with at least one taken in 9th or 10th grade, earning silver status in College Optimization and demonstrating our districts strong preparation for college.

Together, these results highlight our commitment to both access and achievement, ensuring that our students are encouraged to challenge themselves while receiving the support they need to succeed.

We would like to extend our appreciation to our MS/HS administrative team, including Principal Veley and Assistant Principal Curley for their leadership; to our teachers and staff for their dedication to student success; to our students for their hard work; and to our families and community whose continued support helps make achievements like this possible.
