Digital Receipts

In an effort to reduce district spending, the Board of Education has announced that, starting with the 2025-2026 school year, tax receipts will no longer be mailed to individual taxpayers. Instead, receipts will be available online for printing or by request. This change is expected to result in a net savings of nearly $7,500.

Board of Education President Michael Tenalio emphasized the district’s commitment to financial efficiency, stating, "Our District Business Leaders are conducting a comprehensive internal financial audit to identify areas where we can be more efficient while effectively managing our resources. In the coming weeks and months we will be announcing and implementing various improvements."

One area identified for savings is the cost and labor involved in tax collection. Tenalio explained, "Essentially, it is a labor-intensive activity with added costs for postage and mailing. Because we recognize that some in our community may still prefer a printed tax receipt, you can check a box when you pay your taxes to receive a printed receipt. Alternatively, you can get your receipt at the tax website."

Additionally, the district is actively working on the 2025-2026 budget and is committed to enhancing transparency. "You will be provided a more detailed view of the district budget with increased transparency of line-item details. This will be posted on our school website," Tenalio added.

The Board of Education commends District Leaders and the Business Office for their efforts to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenses. Tax receipts and bills can be printed from the following websites:

Interim Superintendent, Dr. Jon Hunter, responded to the change saying, “The work of our school district is always about providing the very best outcomes for our students, faculty, and community. Our work with tax receipts is just another example.”
