Three cross country runners will be representing Geneseo Central School District at the cross country championships this weekend.
Catherine Staley, Emily Lamb and Simon Aguilar qualified to compete in the 2023 Boys and Girls New York State Public High School Athletic Association championships on Saturday, Nov. 11.
The meet will be held at Vernon Verona Sherrill High School in Verona. Staley and Lamb will run in the Class D girls section which is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Aguilar will run in Class D boys and that race is expected to start at 11 a.m.
“Catherine, Emily and Simon are distinguished distance runners who also exemplify great character and a driven work ethic,” Head coach Christopher Morens said. “We wish them the best of luck with their races and cannot wait to see them take on the challenge of facing a tough course with the best runners in the state.”
