Geneseo Middle/High School Ranks First Place in Livingston County
U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings for America's Best High Schools is out for 2021. Once again, Geneseo Middle/High School has been honored as a top high school in the nation! The District is pleased to announce that Geneseo Middle/High School has ranked #1 in Livingston County, #97 out of 1,218 in New York State, and #1,027 out of 17,857 in the nation!
The national and state rankings are based on factors that include college readiness, math, reading proficiency, and graduation rates.
Geneseo Middle/High School has an enrollment of 245 students with a 94% graduation rate!
“This recognition truly speaks to the talented and dedicated staff at Geneseo Central School. This year our teachers were asked to reinvent their instruction and meet the relentless demands of teaching in a pandemic. As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week I want to thank everyone who makes the educational journey at Geneseo Central School a success. They not only meet our expectations but exceed them in many aspects, kudos to them,” said Superintendent Cindy Flowers.
Rounding out the top five in Livingston County are the following districts, in order from second place to fifth: LeRoy, Cal-Mum, Avon, and York.
This achievement is truly reflective of the outstanding teachers, staff, and students of the Geneseo Central School District.
