Geneseo Central School District Ranks First Place in Livingston County

U.S. News & World Report has released the 2020 America’s Best High Schools annual ranking and the Geneseo Central School District is pleased to announce that it has been ranked first in Livingston County!

Geneseo Middle/High School ranks #8 in the Rochester Metro Area, #112 out of 1,217 in New York State, and #1,209 out of 17,792 in the nation! Geneseo Middle/High School has an enrollment of 269 students with a 98% graduation rate! These rankings place Geneseo in the 93rd percentile in New York State!

This ranking represents the District’s focus to strive for excellence. The results are due to the hard work from our dedicated staff, invested students, and a supportive community,” said Cindy Flowers, GCS Superintendent. “There may be concern about how the current closure may impact our rankings in the future.  When we return to school, teachers will monitor student progress and adjust content accordingly to continue to achieve at this high level.”

Rounding out the top five in Livingston County are the following districts, in order from second place to fifth: York, Avon, Caledonia-Mumford, and Livonia.

Congratulations to the entire school community for a job well done!
