Building Project 2020

  • On January 26, 2021, Geneseo Central School District residents will have the opportunity to vote on a $15,550,000 Capital Improvement Project. This project is designed to give additional opportunities to our students in the areas of STEAM, Fine Arts, and Athletics. Areas that the District Planning Team, Administration, and Community Members feel are vital to improving the enrichment opportunities for GCS students.

To request an Absentee Ballot, complete and mail the application found below. Questions regarding absentee ballots may be directed to the District Clerk at 585-243-3450 ext. 2214.

In 2018-2019, a district task force was created to look at three main areas of our school that the community deemed as priorities for renovations in our school district.  The three focus areas were Athletics, Fine Arts, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).  After meeting with a variety of architects and construction managers that wanted to work with us on the project, GCS is pleased to announce that we will be working with SEI Design for the architectural plans and Campus Construction for the project management.  We are hoping to have a capital project vote late in the Fall of 2020.  Please look at a slideshow below that was presented at a June 2020 Board Of Education Meeting that is an initial outline of the scope and timeline of the project.

If you have questions or comments regarding the project, please direct them to our Superintendent, Cindy Flowers, at
