Welcome to the Middle School Counseling Office!
Counseling Services
Counseling services are designed to be developmental and foster optimal learning conditions for each child. The school counselor works closely with students, parents, faculty and administration to provide academic guidance, personalsupport and family guidance, and academic planning for all students at Geneseo.
Success in Middle School
Staying organized and on top of assignments can be a challenge for middle level students. If you'd like to know what assignments your middle schooler has, check out the team and teacher websites below. Each middle level team encourages every student to use his/her agenda to keep track of assignments. Please encourage your student to carry his/her agenda to every single class and check it at home. Students at this age benefit from explicit instruction in organization and time management skills. You can help your child stay organized by regularly helping them organize their binders and materials and planning ahead for assignments.
Monitoring academic progress is a great way to stay involved and encourage a good work ethic. Students and parents can access grades through our School Tool Portal. Students have access by using their regular computer login. Parents can access the School Tool Portal by providing an email address and contacting the Counseling Office Secretary, Pam Hammond, at the extension above to set it up.
