As always Geneseo Central School Food Service Staff is looking forward to providing students with a nutritious well – balanced menu option for the 2009-10 school year.
We serve breakfast daily with an assortment of low-sugar, low fat cereal options, granola bars, cereal bars, fresh fruit and yogurt, just to mention a few. Hot entrees are available twice a week with Tuesday being Breakfast Sandwich Day, featuring a different sandwich option weekly. Thursday is another hot entree day with an assortment of entrees that feature anything from pancakes w/ syrup to hot steaming oatmeal. Please look at our posted breakfast menu for details. Lunch is served with a variety of entrees and menus are posted monthly.
K-5 grade students have the daily options of the posted hot daily entree or may choose a sandwich for the day, PBJ, or fresh made salad lunches. 6-12 grade students can choose from the daily hot entree, Salad Plate or Pbj. They also have the option to visit our Pizza shop and choose from a fresh baked slice of pizza or a made to order submarine sandwich. This year we plan on including several theme lunch bars. Some of these will be Taco Bar, Pasta Bar and Salad Bar.
Starting on October 1st we will offer a chance for parents to order a birthday celebration for their child right from the cafeteria. Parents will need to call or send in an order form and payment two weeks in advance of their celebration. The birthday celebration will be delivered right to your child's room. Order forms will be found on our web site or available at the school office.
Reminder – Free & reduced lunch applications are available if needed at the office or soon will be available on the web- site. New applications must be filled out yearly and return by September 30 to provide uninterrupted benefit service.
Please note our charge policy: Students in grades K-5 are allowed to charge up to 2 meals. Any additional meals they charge after the 2 meal grace period they will receive an alternate lunch choice of Pbj or cheese sandwich. Parents are notified of charges every two weeks by mail or phone call. 6-12 grade students are not permitted to charge at any time.
