Sports Boosters

Welcome to the Geneseo Sports Boosters page. 

The purpose of Sports Boosters is to promote and encourage athletics, physical exercise, and sportsmanship as well as to enhance the moral character and physical health of our students through organized athletic competition. 

Sports Boosters Scholarship:

  • We have selected 2 winners for the 2010 Sports Booster Scholarships.  Winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on June 7th. 
  • Thank you to everyone who applied.

Annual Meeting:

Our annual meeting was held on Monday, May 24th.  Thank you to everyone who attended. 

Recent Accomplishments:

  • Raised money for the new scoreboards to be used for the Baseball, Softball and Soccer teams.
  • Raised money for and purchased a scorer's table and chairs for the gym.
  • State Champion Banner for Girls Cross Country team along with a team donation.
  • Provided a donation towards the spirit effort for the Girls Basketball Sectional final game.
  • Promotion/Sales of School Spirit Apparel.
  • Provided concessions at most home sports events.

On going work:

  • Sponsor a fall, winter and spring Sports Banquet each year honoring all Varsity athletes.
  • Produce the GCS All County, Sectional & State team banners displayed in the GCS gymnasium.
  • Award competitive "Blue Devil" awards each season to two GCS athletes for outstanding academic achievement & leadership in both school and sports.
  • Award "Big Blue" awards each spring to GCS seniors who have competed in athletics every season for all four years of high school.
  • Award Sports Booster scholarships to two graduating seniors who are college bound.
  • Provide parent input & representation on school athletic committees.

Varsity Sports Representatives Wanted:

If you are a parent or guardian of a varsity athlete at GCS and would like to become involved in sports boosters attend one of our monthly meetings to learn how you can help.  We are looking for representatives for all varsity sports.  See the membership page for a listing of sports that are in need of representation.
